Propellers I have two curtiss reed props for sale. One will fit a ranger engine, the other will fit a continental w670 or a jacobs. Any idea what I should ask for them? -

) Hello, Mr. Reed; I am helping a friend complete a 1/7th scale display model of a 1936 Beechcraft C-17 Staggerwing, for the son of our late friend, aviation pioneer George Hammond. I have tried many different places, to find a representation of the Curtiss-Reed Company logo, as it was applied to the blades of said propellers, without success.
I have a poor copy a photo of George, stand by his plane, which sort of shows the logo, but I was hoping for something a little better. If you can help us, we would greatly appreciate it. -

It depends upon condition. value is hard to say unless they have been tagged by a GOOD propeller shop that has the RIGHT hub wrenches. they also NEED to be x-rayed. Maxwells in minnesota is the only shop I really trust with them. I sold a 55501 96 inch tagged prop for 6500.00 and I sold a x-ray passed but no tag 88 incher (small nick in edge) for 2500. Tagging can cost 1500 to 2500. I am always looking for the Ranger props too How much are you looking for? Is there any corrosion? Are you looking for trades? -
