Our 1952 C170B N118F at Byrd Creek field the day we purchased from Bob and Claudia Mosier

Hi Folks, we are Bob and Anita Campbell ,owners/managers of the Randolph Airport (D85),Detroit Sectional, Randolph, New York. Randolph is located in the "Enchanted Mountains" of Western New York. We are also owners of a 1952 Cessna 170B, N118F, which we purchased from Bob and Claudia Mosier of Hadensville, Virginia.

The Randolph Airport was established in 1952 by Messers. R.Grover,G.Mosher and J.Wicks. I started flying lessons here spring of 1953, soloing an Aeronca Champ. We purcahsed the property October 2000 from Joyce Wicks, widow of Julian Wicks.  Sadly Joyce passed away in September 2001.  We built a new home and moved here October of 2001 and are restoring the original hangar. We currently have a Cessna 120 and Cessna 140 based here with the 170. However,it took almost 50 years for us to return to our "roots". It never occurred to us that we would one day own the airport. How that came about will be the story to come later as we develop this web site.

We have owned various airplanes over the years, Piper PA-12, Stinson 108-3, Cessna 170's, 172 and 182. We recently acquired N118F as we think that the 170 is the best airplane for us and our little airport.

We hope that you will find our site interesting and will return often for updates.  More inportant we invite you taildragger pilots to "drop" in, enjoy a cup of coffe and do some "hangar flying"

Happy Landings

Bob and Anita Campbell
