Hi, I'm building a homebuilt taildragger of my own design down here in little ol' New Zealand. As I'm not far off finishing I'm really keen to get some tailwheel time ready for when it has finished test flying. I have a PPL and about 180hrs time, but all on Trike gear Cessnas. I'm starting a tailwheel rating on a Protech PT2 shortly, but I thought I would take advantage of the accumulated experience shared on this forum.
My aircraft is called an Avian Adventurer, a two place experimental powered by a 150hp geared Subaru engine. for more infor see http://www.saa.org.nz/modules.php?set_albumName=proj_cooke&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php
I'm 35, Single (thats how I can afford to do this stuff!) with a background as an aircraft engineering tradesman, although I'm currently working outside the aviation industry (another reason I can afford it!) I'm located in Cambridge New Zealand, in the centre of the North Island, great flying country! I am the secretary of the local chapter of the Sport Aircraft Association (local equivilent of the EAA)
