Folks, I'm the webmaster here at taildraggers.com. Here's my own page so you might know a little more about me as it pertains to taildraggers. I have about 800 hours in taildraggers, and a little over 1100 hours total time, so the vast most of my time is in taildraggers.
This is my current airplane to the left...a 1953 Cessna 195. It was my dad's airplane for 40 years prior. He bought it in 1965 and I took it over in 2005. I am lucky to have one with such a known history, which includes no groundloop. That's dad about to take it out on his 72nd birthday!
Since I was born in 1963 I was only 2 years old when dad bought this Cessna 195, so I grew up in this airplane. I guess that's where I get my love of old, classic taildraggers. I have little interest in modern airplanes, though the more I travel the more I think a P-210 sure would be nice! I put an IFR GPS in the 195, so I have to admit I like modern avionics in these airplanes, but you can't have much more fun than an hour in a basic 7AC Champ.
I am finishing up an engine change now (end of summer 2007). I got the new engine from Radial Engines, LTD. It's got a Jacobs R-755-A2, 300 HP, 7 cylinder radial engine in it.

Here's a picture of the Cessna 180 I had before the Cessna 195. It as a 1953 model with an O-470J engine. It was painted in September 2004 by Tri-D Aircraft Interiors and Paint.
Here's the 1951 Cessna 170A I had for about 5 years prior to the 180 above. I put a brand new 220HP Franklin engine in this airplane after owning it about a year, so it performed more like a 180 than a 170.
