This is our 1947 Aeronca Chief (11AC) We have owned this airplane continuously since 1978. It has been honored with Grand Champion Classic at Oshkosh 1996 & Grand Champion Aeronca at Middletown, Ohio in the year 2000. It has also been an award winner at Sun N' Fun (Lakeland, FL) & the MERFI Fly/In in Marion, Ohio. We are based in Marion, Indiana (MZZ) home of the annual Fly/In Cruise/In. We would invite you to visit us in Marion, Indiana (MZZ) at the annual Fly/In Cruise/In held Saturday of Labor Day weekend. See our website at: www.FlyInCruiseIn.com Plan on flying in for our event. Many folks Fly/In on Friday evening. Free transportation to the Comfort Suites Hotel. See LODGING on the website. The Comfort Suites provides a very good deal for those who attend the Fly/In Cruise/In. Besides airplanes you will see antique & classic vehicles of all types as well as motorcycles. We also serve the finest pancake breakfast in the country. All proceeds from the breakfast benefit young people in the local high school band program.
