Not a plane... but it's the site I have for the building of my taildragger. A clipped-wing, open cockpit 300 hp radial engined Skybolt.

I've been flying since... forever. Seems like I've always had it in me to be flying, like most of us pilots.

For years I owned a '46 T-cart but sold that back in 2006. I'm currently building a radial engined Skybolt. It should be up and flying by the summer of 2010 (fingers crossed.)

You can check out my "blog" (and no, that doesn't stand for web log, it stands for builder's log) at www.hammerheadpilotgear.com/skyboltmain.html

I've been working pretty steady at it since August of 2006 and have over 1000 hours into it at the moment (November 2008.) It's scratch-built, not a kit.

I just finsihed welding up the basic fuselage last night. I'll be working on the seats, landing gear and fuel tanks next. Then on to the numerous tabs that I'll need to make and weld onto the fuselage.

About a month ago I purchased a Jacobs R755-A2 300 hp radial engine. I'll start doing an overhaul (with an AI looking over my shoulder) in the next few weeks.

When I'm not building, I'm flying 172s at the local airport. Recently went up to Van Sants Airport to get checked out in a J3. A little too far away to just jump in the truck and go flying for an hour or so. Still looking to rent a taildragger in the South Jersey area. So, if any of you know of something close, give me a shout.
