I took my first flying lesson in 1984, and have been in the air as much as possible since then. I teach taildragger, mountain flying, glider, multiengine, and primary students in the Rocky Mountain west. Some of my other interesting work includes aerial monitoring of collared wolves; counting elk, mountain sheep, mountain goats, deer, and sandhill cranes for the Dept. of Fish, Wildlife and Parks in a Citabria; aerial wildfire spotting for the state; teaching at the state-sponsored Mountain Search Pilot Clinic; and of course, lots of back-country flying.
